What is in ice cream?

It depends on the brand and type of ice cream.
Traditional Vanilla ice cream can be simple, with:

  • Cream
  • Skim milk
  • Sugar
  • Vanilla
  • Egg yolks

The difference is in which order they are in, and what they are using for sweeteners.

We know too much saturated fat and sugar is not good for us. So brands that are lower in both would be better for you health-wise.
The average serving is only a half a cup- which is tiny! There are 3.5 servings in a pint!

70 calories the whole pint is lower in sugar calories & fat, and then one.

There are some good dairy free alternatives too. This one is a little higher in fat due to avocados being an ingredient, but only 1.5 grams of saturated fat which is the unhealthy fat for us.

Banana babies are frozen bananas covered in chocolate. The banana makes for a nice creamy alternative to ice cream and tastes great and they are also dairy free!
